Pruned Designs, located in Orange County, California, is a luxury floral design studio specializing in event floristry. We serve all of Southern California, crafting modern and unique floral designs that are guaranteed to make a lasting impact.

Blessed with her mom's creativity, Fia has pursued a career as a creative director within design and marketing. Her background in graphic design and branding translates perfectly to floral design as she works to evoke emotion from her pieces that accurately represent her clients and Pruned. She is a wife and cat mom who LOVES a spicy michelada at anytime of the day.

Director of Operations / Floral Designer

A mom first and badass second, Karla loves pushing the boundaries in all that she does. Born and raised in Guatemala, she is proud Latina who is all about the hustle. As a veteran in the floral game, Karla demonstrates innovation in creating efficient solutions that benefit our clients. As a wife, mother of 5, and "Gawky" to 3 grandbabies, Karla is thriving.

Tatiana Thompson

Director of Administration

Tati has a true knack for efficiency. With a degree in Business Administration and over 7 years of project management experience, Tati is the left brain of the company and keeps Pruned running like a well oiled machine. Her ability to manage all administrative tasks allows our designers the freedom to create, while providing our clients with a final product they are sure to be delighted by. A wife, a mama, and bonus mom, Tati enjoys all life’s beauty has to offer.

Decades in the making.

Tati and Fia remember the smell of fresh flowers and cut stems littered across the garage floor as their mom created beautiful arrangements for her floral business over 20 years ago. Karla, a creative matriarch believed no dream was too big and taught her children the same thing. As the years passed families grew and careers were established, but the itch to start a family business only grew stronger.

It was Fia who knew it would be flowers. Years of dreaming and waiting for the "right time" only to realize the right time is when you decide to take a risk. So in 2022, the dream became a reality. Together with Fia's vision, Karla's expertise, and Tati's administrative skillset, Pruned Designs was born. The focus of Pruned is to take risks and create art. To fill the gap within Orange County and beyond with designs that push the boundaries of tradition while creating memorable experiences for our clients and our family.
